She started studying dance at the age of 5, eventually progressing to dance with the prestigious Miami City Ballet till she was about 19. During high school and college, Roxette complemented her dance training by kickboxing and boxing at Normandy Gym alongside future UFC fighters. \r\n\r\nAfter graduating college, Roxette entered the workforce and devoted herself to growing tech startups. Though rewarding, this demanding work led Roxette to neglect her own fitness regimen. Upon selling her most recent startup, Roxette felt called back to her first love \u2013 movement and athleticism. She became a certified reformer pilates instructor through Form50Fitness, allowing her to blend her passions for fitness and helping others reach their goals.\r\n\r\nRoxette uses a customized low impact high intensity pilates programs for Form50 with a focus on improving mobility, building functional strength, and sculpting muscle. Her dance background gives her an intuitive understanding of body mechanics and movement patterns. Her time boxing and kickboxing lends an appreciation of discipline and the transformative power of fitness. \r\n\r\nWhile pilates training is her specialty, Roxette finds joy in all modes of movement, from strength training training to yoga. She revels in supporting each client\u2019s unique fitness journey, whether their primary goal is losing weight, recovering from injury, or simply moving better in their daily life. When not training clients or taking continuing education, Roxette is probably at Equinox hitting weights, meal prepping, or reading up on the latest in sports science and nutrition.
