Before you start
- The FitnessAtYourDoor app installed on your phone
- An email address you can verify (or a Google/Apple account)
- You must be at least 18 years old
- A photo of your ID (front and back) and a completed W-9 ready to upload
-
1
Create your account
Open the app and tap Get Started, then Sign Up. Create your account with Continue with Google, Continue with Apple, or an email and password. You'll need to accept the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines to continue.
-
2
Verify your email
Email sign-ups land on the Verify Your Email screen. Open the email we send and confirm it, then tap I've Verified My Email. (Google and Apple sign-ins skip this step.)
-
3
Choose “I'm a Professional”
On the What brings you here? screen, choose I'm a Professional and tap Continue.
-
4
Add your specializations and rates
Pick your specializations (choose all that apply), then on Set Your Rates enter your Goal Hourly Rate and Lowest Acceptable Rate. Your lowest rate can't be higher than your goal rate.
-
5
Set your availability
On Calendar & Availability, switch on the days you work and pick Morning, Afternoon, or Evening blocks. You need at least one day set — clients can only book you for times you've made available.
-
6
Tell clients about yourself
On Tell Us About Yourself, write your Professional Bio (at least 100 characters) and a Tagline, and choose your Experience Level. Then on Personal Information add your name, profile photo, date of birth (you must be 18+), phone, and home address.
-
7
Upload your required documents
On Trainer Certifications, upload the three required documents: ID (Front), ID (Back), and W9 Form (PDF or photo). You can also add optional CPR Certification, Liability Insurance, and fitness certifications like NASM, ACE, or ISSA. No W-9 yet? There's a link to download one from IRS.gov right on the screen.
-
8
Finish your profile and submit
Round out your profile: choose 2–5 coaching styles, set your Service Area and radius on the map, note whether you provide equipment, and optionally add your website and social links. On Final Settings, tap Complete Setup. You'll see Profile Submitted! — "Your trainer profile is under review."
-
9
Wait for approval
Our team reviews every application. While you're pending you can explore the app, but you won't be visible to clients yet — your profile shows a Pending Review badge. Once approved, you'll get a "You're Approved" email, your badge switches to Active, and clients can find and book you.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
How long does approval take?
Applications are reviewed by our team. You'll get an email as soon as your profile is approved and goes live.
How will I know when I’m approved?
By email — we send a “You're Approved” message. Your profile badge also changes from Pending Review to Active.
What can I do while my profile is pending?
You can log in and finish or edit your profile, but you won't appear in client searches or be bookable until you're approved.
Which documents are required?
A front and back photo of your ID and a W-9 form are required. CPR certification, liability insurance, and fitness certifications (NASM, ACE, ISSA, etc.) are optional but strengthen your profile.
Do I have to set my availability?
Yes — clients can only request sessions for days and times you've marked available, so set at least one before you finish.
