Before you start

  • You are the instructor hosting the class
  • Camera access enabled for the FitnessAtYourDoor app
  • Clients have reserved a spot and have their ticket QR ready

    Open the Classes tab

    Tap the Classes tab to see the classes you're hosting.

    Open your class roster

    Tap the class to open its Class Roster. Everyone who has reserved a spot appears here — marked Reserved until they check in. If nobody has booked yet you'll see No reservations yet.

    Tap Open Scanner

    At the door, tap Open Scanner at the bottom of the roster. The first time you use it, the app asks for camera access — if you see Camera access needed, tap Open Settings and enable the camera.

    Scan each client's ticket

    The scanner screen reads Check in clients "Scan each client's ticket QR code." Point the camera at the QR code on the client's phone (their My Ticket screen). You'll briefly see Checking in…

    Confirm and scan the next client

    On success you'll see Checked In ✓. Tap Scan Next and move to the next client. If someone has already been scanned you'll see Already Checked In — no harm done, just scan the next person.

    Check your roster

    Back on the Class Roster, each checked-in client now shows Checked in with the time and a green check mark, so you can see at a glance who has arrived.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

The scanner says “That ticket could not be read.” What now?

Make sure you're scanning the client's My Ticket QR code for this class, that their screen brightness is up, and that the code is fully in frame. Tap Scan Next and try again.

It says “Already Checked In.”

That client has already been scanned for this class. No action needed — just scan the next person.

The scan won't go through before the class starts.

Check-in opens shortly before the class begins and closes a short while after it ends. Outside that window, tickets cannot be scanned.

Can another trainer scan tickets for my class?

No. Only the instructor hosting the class can check clients in for it.

What if a client can't open their ticket?

They can reopen it any time from the class in their app by tapping View Ticket. No printed ticket is needed.

How do I cancel a class?

From the Class Roster you can cancel the class. Everyone who reserved is notified, and their FAYD Dollars are refunded.

Running your first class?

Open the Classes tab, tap your class, and hit Open Scanner at the door.
